A host of exciting new Havana cigars are set for release this year, with many commemorating significant brand anniversaries. The announcements for these new cigars were made on the morning of the Havana press conference, marking the official start of the Habanos Festival 2024.

This year's event spotlights Trinidad as Habanos celebrates the brand’s 55th anniversary. Habanos has once again reintroduced the Trinidad Robusto Extra (6 1/8 x 50) into regular production, available in 12-count and 3-count boxes, distinguished by a second band and third foot band signifying the new 55th Anniversary release. Additionally, Trinidad is releasing the Trinidad Cabildos Edición Limitada 2024 (6 3/8 x 46), one of 2024’s limited editions.

For those of you who prefer a bit of age on your stogie, a new humidor by S.T. Dupont is being released stocked with Trinidad Fundadores aged for a minimum of 10 years.

Two more Edición Limitadas have also been announced for 2024: the Ramon Allones Absolutos Edición Limitada 2024 (6 1/8 x 49) and the H. Upmann Magnum Finite Edición Limitada 2024 (5 1/8 x 53).

The Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill has been selected to be the next Reserva release, packaged in glossy boxes of 15. These cigars are reportedly made with tobacco harvested in 2019.

San Cristobal also marks a significant milestone, reaching 25 years in the business. To honour this, the brand introduces the San Cristobal 25 Aniversario, rocking in at 6 ½ x 50 and available in very limited 50-count humidors.

Quai d’Orsay celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, and the upcoming Quai d'Orsay Especial d’Orsay commemorates the occasion. Measuring 6 x 53, the new cigar is presented in 20-count boxes. Originally targeted primarily for the French market, Quai d’Orsay has since become a global cigar brand, and considering the popularity of the No. 50 and No. 54, we’re very grateful they did.

Although some of these are likely to miss the 2024 window, the next 18 – 24 months are sure going to be incredible for Cuban cigar releases.
